雪隆廣肇會館于 2002 年開始為全體會員購買 “ 會員團體個人意外保險 ” ，這是一項全球性 24 小時的個人團體意外保險計划。本會為每位會員投保 的 意外保險保費由本會承擔，平均每年需承担每位會員 RM 11 的保费，凡屬本會會員將自動享有這項福利，唯 70 歲以上的會員，只能享有 50% 的醫藥費，而超過 80 歲之樂齡會員則不獲保險公司接納投保。

本會本著一貫為會員謀求最大福利的宗旨，於2003 年會員大會上通過將會員團體意外保險福利提升至RM 15,000 。若永久會員發生意外，包括車禍受傷、跌倒受傷、黑斑蚊症、食物中毒等，都可透過本會向保險公司索償賠償金，唯意外索償者必須提呈醫藥報告正本、報案書及醫藥賬單正本。

另外，本會也向保險公司爭取增加 3 項賠償金 ( 不加收費 ) ：

由於部份會員已失去聯絡地址或郵寄地址不正確，導致本會在郵寄保險證書時，常碰上信件被退回的情況。因此，本會希望尚未更新資料之會員能與我會合作，儘速前往本會秘書處填寫更新表格，以便郵寄工作能順利進行。尚未收到保險證書的會員也無需擔心，可致電於辦公時間本會秘書處查詢 (03-2078 2735)。

Group Personal Accident Insurance Coverage

In 2002 the Selangor & Federal Territory Kwong Siew association began to provide members with “ Group Personal Accident Insurance” coverage. This is a worldwide 24-hour group personal accident insurance scheme for all its members. The cost of the coverage is borne by the association. On the average the cost is RM 11 for each member. This privilege is automatically extended to all members. However for those above the age of 70, only 50% of medical coverage is entertained while those over 80% years of age they would not covered by the insurance company.

In order to provide the best possible welfare entitlement for its members, the association at the 2003 Annual general meeting agreed to raise the group Personal Accident coverage to RM 15 per person. which means a life member or a member of good standing could claim compensation through the association for personal accidents such as personal injury in a vehicle accident or injury arising from a fall or dengue fever, food poisoning, etc. However all personal accident claims must be supported with original documents: medical reports, police report, and medical bills.

In addition the association received additional approval from the insurance to provide for 3 further areas of coverage without additional premium.

The association is faced with a problem where some members cannot be contacted either they have shifted residence or have not provided full correspondence address. Consequently the insurance coverage notes send out by mail have been returned. We hope these members can contact the secretariat at 03-2078 2735 to remedy the problem or to contact the secretariat for clarification why they have not received the insurance cover note.
